Cookie policy

1. Who issues this policy

This policy is issued by Vyskilluj s. r. o., Ulica Veterná 8760/43, 917 01 Trnava, Company ID 53388178, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Trnava, Section Sro, Insert No. 47906/T, the operator of the https://www.paidoria.com website and of the Paidoria app. Contact: info@paidoria.com.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies serve the same purpose, in particular localStorage — a browser store into which a page can write small pieces of data (for example your consent choice). In this policy we refer to all such technologies together as “cookies”.

3. The principle we follow

Before you give your consent, no statistical or marketing script is loaded on this website. On the first visit the site contacts no measurement service — we serve all fonts and images from our own domain. Statistical and marketing tools only start once you allow them in the cookie bar, and you can change your choice at any time.

The only exception is the video on the home page. Its preview image is stored on our own server and the site connects to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) only when you click on the video — that is, on your instruction. We use the youtube-nocookie.com mode, which sets no tracking cookies until the video starts playing.

4. Essential cookies (no consent needed)

They are needed for the basic operation of the site and so that both the website and the Paidoria app follow your choice in the cookie bar. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the website and in honouring your choice; by law they do not require consent.

NamePurposeDuration
paidoria-suhlas Remembers your choice in the cookie bar (localStorage). 12 months from your decision, unless you change it or clear your browser data earlier. After that we ask you again.
pd_suhlas Passes your choice from the cookie bar on to the Paidoria app (app.paidoria.com), so that the app can follow it too. It holds only whether you allowed statistical and marketing cookies, the version of the cookie bar wording and the time of your decision. It is set for the whole paidoria.com domain. 12 months from your decision.
Cloudflare technical cookies Secure delivery of the website and protection against attacks (Cloudflare hosting). Short-lived, usually from 30 minutes to 1 day.

5. Statistical cookies (only with consent)

They help us understand where visitors come from and which pages help them. For that we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). The legal basis is your consent.

NamePurposeDuration
_ga Tells visitors apart (a random browser identifier). 2 years
_ga_* Keeps the session and the visit statistics. 2 years

6. Marketing cookies (only with consent)

They are used to measure the effectiveness of the advertising through which new parents and schools hear about Paidoria. We use Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). The legal basis is your consent. Google Analytics also learns, through Google Consent Mode, that you allowed marketing cookies — if you allowed statistical cookies as well.

NamePurposeDuration
_fbp Measures the effectiveness of Meta advertising (Facebook, Instagram). 3 months
_fbc Remembers which Meta advert you arrived from. 3 months

The specific cookies and how long they last are set by Google and Meta and may change over time; we keep the tables up to date.

7. Consent and Consent Mode

We remember your consent choice in your browser for 12 months; after that we ask you again. The website uses Google Consent Mode v2 with the default state “denied” — until you allow statistical or marketing cookies, the measurement tools are not loaded and receive no data. You give consent for statistical and for marketing cookies separately.

8. How to change your choice

Click in the footer of any page at any time — you can change your choice or withdraw your consent entirely. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately and also applies to the Paidoria app; in the app, parent accounts have a link to this setting in Account & privacy. Your choice is tied to the browser in which you made it. You can also delete the cookies stored in your browser at any time in your browser settings.

9. Data transfers outside the EU

Google and Meta may also transfer data from the measurement tools to servers in the USA. Such a transfer relies on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) and on standard contractual clauses. A transfer only happens if you have allowed statistical or marketing cookies.

10. The Paidoria app and children

This website is intended for adults — parents, teachers, professionals and partners. Consent to cookies is given here by an adult.

Your choice in the cookie bar also applies to the Paidoria app at app.paidoria.com — the app has no cookie bar of its own and reads your choice from the pd_suhlas cookie. The Google and Meta tools load in the app at two moments only: right after a parent signs up and after a subscription order is completed on the payment page. If you allowed statistical cookies, the app then loads Google Analytics 4, and if you allowed marketing cookies, Meta Pixel. The tool receives the information that a sign-up or a purchase took place (for a purchase, also the price of the subscription) and uses the same cookies as on the website (chapters 5 and 6). This tells us which sources of visits and which adverts lead to sign-ups and subscriptions.

At no other time do the Google and Meta tools load in the app — neither when it starts nor while you browse it. Within a few seconds of sending that information, the app switches the tool off again, so that it sends nothing while a child plays; until then Google Analytics may also record further data about your visit to the app (for example a move to another screen). If you have not allowed the cookies, or have not decided yet, the tools never load in the app.

Apart from this, this policy does not apply to the app — what the app processes is described in the Privacy policy. We never use measurement data to target advertising at children.
